What to Download

Contacter is divided into three main compressed data files:

1. Contacter Libraries tar.gz files (versioned) example: contacterlib0.1.tar.gz
2. Contacter Binaries tar.gz files (versioned) example: contacter0.1_lib0.1.tar.gz
3. Contacter yaml tar.gz example files (versioned)

Besides these three data files there are also two shell files:

1. install.sh # allows to performe the installation after download the tar.gz files 1 and 2
2. loader.sh # allows to performe the download and installation in one step with a linux command

How to Install

You can download the files separatelly and install the suite controlling the destination directories (method 1) ou you can use the one single command and install the suite in the default locations (method2)

1. Method 1

   (Check the download links below in this page)

• Download contactarlibA.B.tar.gz file (choose the library you want)
• Download contacterC.D_libA.B.tar.gz (choose the binaries you want compatible with libA.B)
• Download the contacteryamlA.B.tar.gz files (tipically all the available configuration and auxiliary files) and decompress it:

tar -xvf contacteryaml0.2.0.tar.gz
tar -xvf contacteryaml0.1.tar.gz

• Download install.sh file and make sure it is runnable

chmod +x install.sh

• Understand install.sh
  • Install.sh accepts a mandatory parameter (the contacterlib or contacterbin) and the following optionak parameters:
    • -force (force installation even if the file is already present at destination)
    • -name (define a different destination for the file, default is /opt/contacter/contacterlibA.B)
    • -embedding (define a different destination for the embedding model file, default is /var/opt/contacter/models/deepghs/embbeding)
    • -segmentation (define a different destination for the segmentation model file, default is /var/opt/contacter/models/Alkd/segmentation)
• Run install.sh (use sudo)

  • Run it twice (one for the libraries and one for the binaries ou just once if you are just upgrading the binaries that run on the same library version)

  • Examples:

    Install libraries in /opt/contactar/contactarlib0.1

    ./install.sh contactarlib0.1

    Install binaries in /opt/contacter/contacterlib0.1 and create links for each binary

    ./install.sh contactar0.2.0_lib0.1

2. Method 2

• Run:

curl -sL https://pub-23dffd10b25449a18deb4dbd6d7094aa.r2.dev/loader.sh | bash

This will install everything from the last stable versions in the default directories.

• Download the contacteryamlA.B.tar.gz files (tipically all the available configuration and auxiliary files) and decompress it:

tar -xvf contacteryaml0.2.0.tar.gz
tar -xvf contacteryaml0.1.tar.gz

How to Run it

• Move the your working directory
• Decompress contacteryamlA.B.tar.gz file in your working directory
• Register your account, Login and create API_Tokens in our site
• Create your own Private/Public pair Keys to sign your files~

openssl genpkey -algorithm RSA -out protected_private_key.pem -pkeyopt rsa_keygen_bits:2048 -aes256
openssl rsa -pubout -in protected_private_key.pem -out public_key.pem

• Test the tools: run transcriptor or contactar. It should show you you all the required parameters for each tool (you can use the tool with the version name: transcriptor0.1 or the universal name transcriptor to use the last installed version). Use transcriptor --version to see the version
• Fill ksys.yaml file with you Contacter API_KEY and other accesses such as DB and openrouter token and passwords
• Read the "Let's Start" Tutorial
• Test the programs one by one
• Read each Tool Manual
• Read each Apparatus Manual
• Tune and optimize the operations in contacter.yaml
• Read the other Tutorials to optimize and streamline your operations
